Prime Video will launch revenge thriller, Kill Jackie (w/t), starring Oscar, BAFTA and Tony Award winning actress Catherine Zeta-Jones (Chicago, Wednesday), based on the acclaimed novel by Sunday Times best-selling author Nick Harkaway, writing as Aidan Truhen (Karla’s Choice, Tigerman). The series will begin production next month in Bilbao, Lisbon, London and Swansea. The 8-part series will be available on Prime Video in selected countries and regions across the world.
Zeta-Jones plays Jackie Price who has been living a luxurious existence for the last twenty years – travelling the world, selling fine art using sophisticated tax loopholes, and, above all, trying to stay anonymous after escaping a dangerous past as an international cocaine dealer. But just as life starts to feel a little boring, it takes a sudden lethal turn when she discovers The Seven Demons, a squad of the world’s most terrifying hitmen, have been hired to kill her. Assuming someone from her past is behind it, Jackie unleashes her old instincts and embarks on a wild, dangerous game plan: to take down The Demons one by one before they kill her. However, she soon realises her own demons are much more terrifying than the ruthless killers on her trail… and her buried secrets ultimately lead her much closer to home, with surprising consequences.
Catherine Zeta-Jones said: “I’m thrilled to be a part of Kill Jackie both behind and in front of the camera. The opportunity to bring this multifaceted character to life, and explore a female driven plot that encompasses empowerment, identity, and redemption is something I’m looking forward to.”

Nick Harkaway Biography
Nick Harkaway is the author of eight novels including Tigerman, Gnomon and Titanium Noir as well as the Sunday Times bestselling new George Smiley story Karla's Choice. He has been described as "JG Ballard's geeky younger brother" or "William Makepeace Thackeray on acid” and compared with both Thomas Pynchon and Haruki Murakami. The Guardian said of him that "his great gift as a novelist is to merge the pace, wit and clarity of the best ‘popular’ literature with the ambition, complexity and irony of the so-called ‘literary’ novel” while NPR said he "makes you wonder why every book isn't this smart and joyous and beautiful and heartbreaking.” Two of his novels - The Price You Pay and Seven Demons - were written under the pseudonym Aidan Truhen (an anagram of Diana Hunter, a pulp fiction novelist who is one of the central characters in Gnomon). Carl Hiaasen said of The Price You Pay “this novel has high-octane everything." Harkaway describes it as "a morally disimproving story of crime and more crime".
Harkaway's real name is Nicholas Cornwell, and he is the fourth son of the David Cornwell (who wrote as John le Carré) and his second wife Jane Cornwell. He was born in Cornwall in 1972 and moved to London while he was still a child. He was educated at Clare College, Cambridge before working in the film industry. He lives in London with his wife Clare, their two children and a very needy dog.
